The 7th Annual Jim Buckley Memorial Golf Outing on Wednesday, October 5th at Dyker Heights Golf Course raised over $44,000 for the children, adults and families in HeartShare’s care.

Over 150 golfers enjoyed the day at Dyker Heights Golf Course. The course included games, such as “Chicago Al’s Triangle,” Get on the Green, Closest to the Pin and Longest Drive. Lunch and raffle drawings was hosted at Buckley’s Restaurant.

“My father always was concerned about others and never himself,” said Jimmy Buckley, Jr. The fundraiser’s guests, many of which have fond memories of the late Jimmy Buckley, Sr., toasted to the memory of a truly generous man.

His children, Jimmy Buckley, Jr. and Board Member Christine E. Strehle, honor their father’s legacy with their generosity of spirit. In addition to supporting many causes in the community to which they belong, Buckley and Strehle dedicate their time, resources and expertise to help those in HeartShare’s care.
