After 22 years, HeartShare Angels on the Bay Evaluation Center in Howard Beach, Queens is closing. Due to lack of funds coming from the New York State Education Department on a regular basis, HeartShare cannot sustain the office any longer. HeartShare will continue providing evaluations at our two Queens First Step Early Childhood Centers beginning next week. HeartShare has experienced many good years at the Center, evaluating thousands of children and recommending the proper services that give them the best chance at enhancing their skills. We have been through a bank heist and Hurricane Sandy, but always bounced back. The HeartShare team is hopeful that this move will allow us to continue providing quality evaluation services to young children and their families.
